Hi, my name is Harold Yauger and I would first like to thank you for taking a look at our aluminum training weapons. I have been training in martial arts for over 20 years now. In that time, I have used most of the training apparatuses out there, from plastic knives to my moms kitchen wooden spoons. There is nothing that I have found that is better then an aluminum training weapon for realistic situations. Neither wooden or plastic trainers give you the same feel or visual cues that an aluminum trainer does. Wooden trainers splinter and at full force can break under the pressure. Plastic trainers flex and bend while techniques are being applied to them. This is NOT the kind of training that you want to be working on for the street. I always hear that practice makes perfect, that just isn't true, perfect practice makes perfect.
After buying a couple of the trainers out there it didn't seem like I was getting my monies worth, so we began to make our own aluminum training weapons. I then began to get requests for trainers from my teachers, students and peers. After some feedback and convincing, we decided that we would begin to make them for everyone to enjoy. This is how we began Black Eye Trainers. Five years has gone by now and our aluminum training weapons have gone through quite a few changes. We now have a trainer that we are proud to put our name on and present to you.
