Kukuri / Golok

 

I know that there are people out there looking at this and saying that isn't a Golok or a
Kukuri. We used these names because they are probably the most well known weapons of this size. This aluminum training sword was modeled after my Sifu Paul's family blade that was passed down to him by his father. The training blade is actually a Bolo. Our practice blade is perfect for all your largo mano (long range) and media distancia (middle range) techniques and that is exactly what we were looking for. Our goal was to simplify and create only one trainer, instead of 3 or 4 types of knives/swords that were all 18" - 24" in length.  We created a trainer that would be able to be used for all forms and/or techniques against or with any weapon of this length (stick, hatchet, camping shovel, machete, etc.).

 

 

 

Dimensions: 1/4" aluminum, 11 1/2" blade, 18" overall.

Hand polished with a tapered simulated edge.
